Zero-Waste fashion is an alternative to use the textile waste that is accumulated year after year all around the planet, it is a technique based on taking advantage of 100% of the fabric in the pattern and design of garments.
This project entitled Zero-Waste, is a reversible kimono made from different recovered fabrics from jeans and assorted pants, designed and made based on patchwork techniques and Zero-Waste patterns tailored to the clients for my personal brand “JAIME JESÚS” in 2020.
The project was born as an idea to integrate a new option for the client who could acquire a unique piece made with denim garments and other types of fabrics that were no longer used to give life to a new product that, due to its shape and elaboration, would reduce completely the residues that it could have had when it was made in a conventional way.
Textile design, product development, fashion production, dissemination, and photography.
